Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. In this way, your IP address is shortened by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address will be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Order processing

We have concluded a contract for order processing with Google and fully comply with the strict provisions of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

This website uses the function “demographic characteristics” by Google Analytics. This allows to create reports containing information on age, sex and interests of the website visitors. These data come from interest-related advertising of Google as well as from visitor data from third parties. These data cannot be associated with a certain person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the display settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as explained in section “Objection to data collection”.

Storage duration

Any data on the user level and event level stored by Google linked with cookies, user IDs or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) will be anonymised or deleted after 14 months. Vimeo

Our website uses plugins of the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter referred to as “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

reCAPTCHA serves to check whether the data input on our websites (e.g. in a contact form) is carried out by a person or an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behaviour of the website visitor by means of various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor accesses the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates certain information (e.g. IP address, dwelling time of the website visitor on the website or mouse movements effected by the user). The data acquired during the analysis are passed on to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not made aware that an analysis is taking place.

We provide you with the possibility to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, letter or online application form).  In the following we inform you of the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected in the context of the application process. We ensure that the collection, processing and use of your data is performed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and all further statutory provisions and that your data are treated as strictly confidential.

Scope and purpose of the data collection

If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application papers, notes on job interviews, etc.) as far as required for the decision about the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Sec. 26 New Federal Data Protection Act under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given your consent – Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. The consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will be passed on exclusively within our company to those persons involved in the processing of your application.

If your application is successful, the data submitted by you are stored in our data processing systems for the purpose of performance of the employment relationship on the basis of Sec. 26 New Federal Data Protection Act and Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.

Data storage period

If we cannot provide you with a job offer, if you reject a job offer, withdraw your application, withdraw your consent to data processing or request us to erase the data, the data submitted by you including any remaining physical application papers will be stored or kept for 6 months at the maximum from completion of the application process (period of retention) in order to be able to relate to the details of the application process in the event of disagreements (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).

YOU CAN OBJECT TO THIS STORAGE IF YOU HAVE LEGITIMATE INTERESTS OVERRIDING OUR INTERESTS.

After expiration of the storage period, the data will be erased if no statutory obligation to preserve records or any other legal reason for further storage prevails. If it is foreseeable that the retention of your data will be required after expiration of the storage period (e.g. due to an imminent or pending lawsuit), the data will only be erased when they have become irrelevant. Any other legal retention periods remain unaffected.
